One Sunday morning I switched on my PC to check my e-mail inbox to find a mail from a friend of mine in the USA asking if I was up as he wanted to call me but did not want to wake me up too early, and as it was 10.20am where I was, I figured it is 02.20am in his time zone as he is eight hours behind me and I wondered what it was that he wanted me for so urgently, anyway I replied to his e-mail saying that I would be able to take his call and promptly waited for the phone to ring but after about an hour I had not heard from him and assumed that he had gone to his pit.
Later on that day my mobile rang and it was my friend from the USA but I was unable to talk to him as I was just starting on shift in my normal job and I suggested to him that I would call him in a couple of hours time, I was still intrigued as to what it was that he wanted me for so urgently and I could not wait till I had time to talk to him.
When I finally did manage to talk to him I was promptly connected to a three way call with his up-line in his MLM business ‘Stemtech’ and had to listen to this triple diamond associate rattle on about how good Stemtech is and how it has done wonderful things for this mans hearing, back problems and other health issues that he has had. I am sure that Stemtech has done wonders for him and have no doubts about Stemtech’s capability’s but I was thinking to myself that this is the very wrong way to market an MLM business opportunity as all it does is push your prospects away and this was certainly happening to me. This method of marketing may have worked ten years or more ago but it is now considered by many as being not very effective, time consuming, old fashioned and really not necessary as it has been superseded by Internet marketing in the way of blogging etc.
